Who we are
We are a dedicated team of engineers and students who believe that technical expertise, when driven by compassion, can break down the barriers of disability.
TunisAid was born in November 2018 in Munich, fueled by a shared vision among the Tunisian diaspora. We saw the systemic challenges faced by people with disabilities in Tunisia—from the lack of basic mobility aids to the absence of accessible infrastructure. We knew that our skills as engineers and our drive as students could be the catalyst for real change.
By bridging the gap between Germany and Tunisia, we don’t just provide aid; we build sustainable solutions. We collaborate directly with established local organizations and on-the-ground associations to ensure that every project we fund is implemented successfully and serves the community’s most urgent needs.
Our Team
Our approach
Our Mission
To engineer a future where disability is never a barrier to opportunity, dignity, or education.
Our mission is to ensure that every individual with a disability in Tunisia has the tools they need to navigate the world. Whether it is providing life-changing mobility equipment, funding accessible transport, or creating inclusive educational spaces, we meet people where they are. We aren’t just giving help; we are restoring independence.
Our Vision
We envision a Tunisia where every public space is accessible and every child with a disability can pursue their dreams without limits.
We want to build a world where a wheelchair isn’t a limitation to attending a workshop, and where a student isn’t left behind because a building lacks a ramp. Our goal is to expand our network across every region of Tunisia, making specialized schooling and professional training accessible to all, ensuring no one is left to face their struggles alone.
